here’s exactly how it’s done right + real-life examples:
Step 1: Niche Building
start by picking a niche and sticking to it
check out @theschoolofhardknockz who interviews successful entrepreneurs
here’s one he did with Tom Cruise that got 10M+ views:
or @Shanonthestreet who asks people in NYC about their music preferences
and @bowlmatesshow who makes entertaining videos from Cava, a fast-casual restaurant
Why it works:
Predictable: helps your content reach the right people + perform better in the algorithm
Audience Clarity: makes it clear who your content is meant for
Step #2: Brand Associations
what do you want your brand to be known for?
this is where brand associations come in
it’s what comes to mind when someone sees your color palette, fonts, or content style
let’s use @areyouokayshow with over 490k followers as an example

that’s the power of a brand association
Why it works:
Familiarity: The audience immediately recognizes your content in the first 3 seconds
Mood Association: Colors, fonts, and designs make people feel certain emotions. In this case, playful colors like bright pink and yellow signal to the viewer that it’s light-hearted, fun, and positive
Step #3 Format Optimization
having a go-to format is the real secret behind repeatable, high-engagement content
optimize these aspects of your content format:
hook
music choice
editing style
take a look at @simonsquibb who goes around asking people what their dream is
this video got over 35M views
and this one that got over 45M views
Why it works:
Constants: These repeatable elements in your videos make your content instantly recognizable
Hooks: A viral hook format gives viewers a clear reason to stop scrolling and engage every time
