A-Z creator-led marketing for top brands on social media

Read Time: 1 Minutes 27 Seconds

Hey — Ryan here.

In today’s edition we’ll be covering:

  • Top-performing trends in creator marketing

  • 3 creator-led playbooks you can start using today

  • and why they work

So…

We’ve analyzed the top-performing creators and brands on social media this month,

and we’ve identified 3 playbooks that creator-led companies like Emma Chamberlain, Ryan Trahan, and Pick ‘Em are using to drive insane organic reach that you can steal

Let’s get into it.

Style #1: Problem + Solution

Creator-led content has been trending all over social media

This is a clear way to showcase your brand’s story

I call it the Problem + Solution framework

Oh, and there’s more

Like this one by Pick ‘Em that received 83.7k views

Every business has a problem you’re looking to solve, so highlight that pain

then present your product as the solution

No fancy camera or editing software needed

There’s two things that they all have in common:

(1) Create a Problem and (2) Establish One Clear Mission

Why it works:

  • Pain: To create demand you have to establish the problem you’re solving aka sell the pain not the features

  • Demand Creation: Consumer brands do this best, how can you create demand out of ‘thin air’

  • Buy-In: Instead of jumping from trend to trend there’s one big mission the viewer gets to be a part of - this creates a movement

Style #2: Product Demo

Another engaging way to create demand is to showcase the HOW

If you show them the ‘how’ it’s a lot easier to justify purchasing your product or service

I made a video breaking down Chamberlain Coffee’s content strategy (link here)

You want to reduce the friction the viewer has with using your product

Here’s why:

  • Utility: This makes your offering clearly showcase it’s utility to the viewer

  • Education: Educating the viewer creates authority, establishing the creator as a trusted source on the niche

  • Creativity: At the end of the day, viewers want to be entertained so creativity always wins

Style #3: Day in the Life

For all you busy creators and founders just document what you’re ALREADY doing

Most founders focus on showcasing the finished product

But nobody gets to see the blood, sweat, and tears that went into creating it

Audiences crave authenticity and connection so share those stories!

Why it works:

  • Authenticity: It’s a big buzz word these days but it’s true! Stop selling, start connecting.

  • Journey: People buy into the journey, not the destination. It’s the greatest tool to build trust with your audience.

  • Repeatable Series: It’s an easy repeatable series that doesn’t require heavy ideation work.
